WCR Mid-Year meeting in Washington, DC Oh my, this had to be the best WCR event I have ever attended. The company was incredible, and it made me so proud of our chapter 1st of all, and second to be associated with the State of Texas Chapter. Our chapter won “GOLD” this year, and it was actually for last year (5th year in a row for the Dallas Chapter). Gold is the highest honor a chapter can win, apart from being Local Chapter of the Year…how about us doing that this year! Then, the State of Texas won State Chapter of the Year…2nd time in a row…we were all so excited. We as the State of Texas are so blessed to have Becky Hill representing us as the National President of WCR. She is doing an outstanding job at the highest level., Friday afternoon we attended an Educational Session with Kaira Rouda (Leslie Rouda Smith’s sister in law) that was incredible. It was directed toward Women Entrepreneurs and learning how to Brand your business. I enjoyed her so much, and even bought the book (I’m almost through it already). She was truly inspiring, and I would love to get her to come to one of our meetings…she was incredible. Oh, her book is “Real You Incorporated…8 Essentials for Women Entrepreneurs”. Great title! My second highlight as far as sessions go was Matthew J. Ferrara. He started us off bright and early Saturday morning talking about Social Networking and how our business of selling Real Estate has changed dramatically. His question was, Are you ready for the next generation? He said that 95% of all homebuyers in 2008 used Social Networking…we desperately need to get ready for this. As a matter of fact, come to the August Membership luncheon and hear a great presentation: RE-The Next Generation! Thank you WCR for allowing us (your line officers) the priviledge of attending this wonderful and educational conference.
