The annual joint meeting of the Collin County and Dallas Chapters of the Women's Council of Realtors was held Thursday June 11th with Dallas the host chapter. We had our 2009 State Chapter President Sandra Hunt as our special guest. In addition the founder of the Dallas chapter, Ebby Halliday was present to sign her book and share some of her many years of wisdom in Dallas real estate. Our next meeting is "Marketing Through Staging" with Jason Maxswell with Equity Enhancers on July 9th. In addition there will be a free one hour MCE class before the meeting and the subject of the class will be "Social Networking." See everyone next month.

WCR Dallas 2009 High Tea and Fashion Show, Join us for "An Affair to Remember," It's Black and White Darling. The Dallas chapter of WCR is sponsoring the 2009 High Tea at the Westin Galleria Wednesday October 28th starting at 3:00pm. This event is attended by more than 500 real estate professionals every year. Don't be left out. Tickets are now on sale for $55 each. Anne Kleefisch is handling reservation this year. At the April luncheon the Spring Auction raises money for the Wilkinson Center. This was a banner year and we raised over $1,600. Thank you to all the members who brought items for the auction and a big thank you to everyone who bid on and bought items.
Dallas chapter has had an eight year relationship with Brian Burton and the Wilkinson Center. Part of our annual fundraising efforts go to support their programs. On May 7, 2009, Brian Burton was presented with a check for the money raised at the Spring Auction. In a year that has been hard on all charities, we were able to give the Wilkinson Center a record breaking amount from this auction. Thank you for being so generous.

WCR Mid-Year meeting in Washington, DC
May 14 – 17, 2009
Oh my, this had to be the best WCR event I have ever attended. The company was incredible, and it made me so proud of our chapter 1st of all, and second to be associated with the State of Texas Chapter.
Our chapter won “GOLD” this year, and it was actually for last year (5th year in a row for the Dallas Chapter). Gold is the highest honor a chapter can win, apart from being Local Chapter of the Year in the mega chapter catagory…how about us doing that this year! Then, the State of Texas won State Chapter of the Year…2nd time in a row…we were all so excited.
We as the State of Texas are so blessed to have Becky Hill representing us as the National President of WCR. She is doing an outstanding job at the highest level.
Thank you WCR for allowing us (your line officers) the priviledge of attending this wonderful and educational conference.
